The 9th edition of the World Ducati Week registered record attendance.

Incredible figures that are astounding and magnify the unforgettable experiences the Ducatisti had at this edition, under the umbrella name of More than Red, in reference to the various different characters of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer.

  • 81,000+ participants
  • 66 different nations around the world
  • 159 Desmo Owners Clubs from 38 different nations
  • 120+ activities

The success of the event can be seen not just from the numbers but also from the smiles and enthusiasm of everyone who was on the track and in the paddock - it’s you, the enthusiasts who lived three days of Ducati passion to the full with your extraordinary and contagious joyfulness, who really made the event the great success it was.

90,000

sq.m

A party which invaded over 90,000 sq.m and much more - we experienced adrenaline rushes on the racetrack and at the DRE Park, entertainments at the stadium, discovery on the roads of the Romagna riviera and we had great fun at the Scrambler party at the Aquafan waterpark in Riccione.

10,000

laps

A racetrack that was hotter than ever with a succession of two and four-wheeled vehicles for a total of 10,000 laps as well as spectacular displays such as the acrobatics of the stunt riders.

2

occasions

In particular there were two occasions that those present will find difficult to forget - the excitement of the Friday evening parade and the adrenaline of the drag race.

6,000

motorcycles

From sunset of the first day, over 6,000 motorcycles gathered for the parade, riding round the racetrack in an incredible lap of honour before setting off for Aquafan, led by the shocking pink Scrambler with its special pink colour in celebration of the Notte Rosa, the riviera’s pink-themed all-night party.

1st

place

On the Saturday a drag race battled out to the end kept the spectators holding their breath until the last moments - Scott Redding raced in to take first place on the podium pipping Casey Stoner and Régis Laconi to the post. Celebrations were the order of the day with the riders greeting the public to the sound of a series of burn-outs.

90th

anniversary

The WDW2016 was also the ideal opportunity to celebrate together with the whole Ducati community an important date for the Bologna-based company - the 90th anniversary, a milestone marked with a multitude of dedicated activities including preview visits to the new Ducati museum and displays at the 90th anniversary tent, and peaking with the exclusive presentation of the new 1299 Superbike Panigale S Anniversario.

72

hours

Other surprises at this edition included the Closed Room, within which 5,000 Ducati fans had the privilege of seeing the brand new Ducati Supersport, and the DRE Safety and DRE Enduro tutorials which provided a total of 72 hours of safe and off-road riding.

8

teams

Furthermore, this year’s event featured a celebration in internationality - the first edition of the International Biker Games took place, with 8 teams from all over the world who had great fun challenging each other in motorcycle and sports races and competitions.

Another WDW is thus added to the previous editions, with unforgettable and wonderful memories and we can relive it via the photos and videos of the event - alive with the memories of a weekend that was full of excitement and passion.

We hope to see you at WDW 2017!
